Position Summary Reporting to the Production Supervisor , the Assembly Technician is responsible for building and testing precision sensor products. This entry-level role is ideal for someone with basic technical skills and a strong desire to learn. You’ll gain hands-on experience assembling mechanical and electrical components, working closely with experienced engineers and technicians. This position is part of the Production Team located in Austin, Texas and will be on-site .

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Ability to read and follow work instructions, diagrams, and SOPs
  • Basic understanding of hand tools and mechanical assembly practices

  • Previous experience in assembly or electronics manufacturing

  • Willingness to learn, support team activities, and uphold 5S and safety standards

Responsibilities

  • Perform mechanical enclosure, cable, and wiring assembly using tools and work instructions
  • Follow detailed Work Instructions (WI), Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), and assembly drawings to ensure consistent and high-quality builds
  • Support product testing on the production line, including functional tests, basic troubleshooting, and documentation of test results
  • Report defects or assembly issues to supervisors, technicians, or engineering teams
  • Maintain a clean, well-organized workstation and actively participate in a strong 5S program
  • Adhere to all safety rules, guidelines, and best practices to promote a safe work environment
  • Collaborate with team members and support daily production goals
