Build assemblies and sub-assemblies to blueprint specifications and customer requirements using a variety of hand tools and measurement devices. While not inclusive, this position will provide support in the following areas of the Assembly Department: Assembly: Obtain and execute directions from the Assembly Supervisor Follow priority list of jobs Monitor and protect the assets of the company and ensure that appropriate tools and hardware are used for each job Perform diversified assembly operations to assemble intricate or large apparatus, machines, or equipment to close tolerances and inspection requirements Perform skilled fitting of parts, sub-assemblies and related units Align, adjust and assemble components that may require secondary machining Assemble fittings precisely to ensure free action of moveable parts as indicated by operating requirements Use a variety of precision measuring instruments and gauging devices Maintain safe operations by adhering to safety procedures and regulations Adhere to all quality policies and meets company quality goals of on-time delivery of completed parts without compromising quality, safety or equipment life Verification of Product: Verify settings of assemblies by measuring parts to ensure they are to print and customer specifications while adhering to quality standards Identify production errors, act as a secondary inspection Record keeping: Completing all required logs, recording and reporting forms and documentation accurately and in a timely fashion Perform inspection of related records for completion, accuracy, and readability Accurately count, record, and resolve any quantity or completeness discrepancies prior to accepting responsibility Accurately count and record all quantities prior to forwarding to next workstation
