About The Position

We seek a highly motivated and qualified Assembly Technician to assist our Operations Department. This position is very critical to the long-term success of the company as our customers expect increasing levels of technical expertise and product reliability. Job Type: Full Time (Hourly) Job Location: Plano, TX Travel: Minimal, as required Benefits: Medical, Dental, Life Insurance, Vacation/Holiday/Sick Time, 401k Reporting to the Director of Operations, this position will be a key contributor to SOLiD's continued growth and success. Requirements

  • The ideal candidate should be self-motivated and have a proven track record in, product assembly, and logistics.
  • Comfortable in the dynamic atmosphere of a technical organization in a high-growth industry.
  • High school diploma or GED required. Two year college preferred.
  • Ability to perform work accurately and thoroughly
  • Attention to detail with strong organizational skills
  • Ability to multi-task efficiently within a high-pressure environment while meeting strict deadlines
  • Ability to solve problems and produce new methods and ideas through critical thinking and reasoning
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Must be punctual and dependable
  • Team player with a "can-do" attitude
  • Be eligible to get license for sit-down forklift operations and single-reach lift
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds
  • Basic computer navigation and utilization skills
  • 2-3 years of mechanical assembly experience preferred
  • Ability to work effectively in a dynamic environment

Responsibilities

  • Process incoming and outgoing RMA's
  • Prepares work to be accomplished by studying assembly instructions, specifications, and parts lists; gathering parts, subassemblies, tools, and materials
  • Assembles components by examining connections for correct fit, fastening parts, and subassemblies
  • Pick products and components for assembly.
  • Manage stock and inventory control by utilization of inventory counting procedures.
  • Verify clerical computations against the physical count of stock and adjusts errors in computation or count, and investigate and report reasons for discrepancies
  • Conducting visual and measurement tests; rejecting and returning unacceptable materials or parts; communicating required adjustments to support team
  • Figuring out assembly problems and notifying the Quality Control Supervisor about problems to be solved
  • Maintains a safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations
  • Unload, receive, and put away products into inventory.
  • Documents actions by completing production and quality forms
  • Keep the timeline of the shipping schedule
  • Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed
  • Other projects as assigned.
