About The Position

The Assembly Technician III is responsible for assembling products and components with minimal supervision, following established procedures, safety standards, and quality requirements. This role offers more detailed expertise and troubleshooting, as well as supporting the supervisor in training and supporting the Assembly Technicians I & II.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Three (3) years or more of related assembly or manufacturing experience is preferred.
  • Familiarity with basic hand tools and mechanical aptitude.
  • Ability to read diagrams, instructions, and specifications.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
  • Manual dexterity with good hand‑eye coordination.
  • Ability to follow precise instructions and standardized processes.
  • Basic reading skills required.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency in English.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
  • Organized, dependable, accurate, and efficient.
  • Flexible, adaptable, and action‑oriented.
  • Ability to perform repetitive assembly tasks.
  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, sit, stoop, crawl, squat, and kneel for extended periods.
  • Ability to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
  • Ability to walk or stand for 8–10 hours per day.
  • Ability to hear and communicate effectively.
  • Ability to see close‑up for detailed assembly work.
  • Exposure to high noise levels; hearing protection (earplugs) required.
  • Required use of personal protective equipment (PPE) in designated areas.

  • Technical Degree preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Assemble products and components under the direction of a supervisor and according to required specifications.
  • Knowledgeably and efficiently use self‑provided hand tools to assemble equipment in assigned areas of the production line.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, sketches, verbal and written instructions, then assemble the parts or products.
  • Work and assemble products with minimal supervision and provide guidance to level I and II Assemblers.
  • Assemble systems including air suspension, ABS, power, cooling systems, and associated storage and platform components.
  • Inspect parts during assembly to identify defects or faulty components.
  • Test assembled parts or products to ensure proper functionality and quality.
  • Perform standard assembly procedures, rework, and repairs on manufactured equipment and products.
  • Troubleshoot any assembly issues.
  • Always follow established safety procedures.
  • Comply with document control and quality assurance procedures.
  • Assist other departments when needed.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
