About The Position

Premier Pump & Power is a family-owned manufacturer of industrial pumps and energy solutions, specializing in large, custom, portable pump packages renowned for their performance, serviceability, and built-in quality. The company serves thousands of customers from its global headquarters in Vancouver, Washington, and a new manufacturing factory in Spring, Texas. As an Assembly Technician II, you will work on all aspects of pump and industrial manufacturing as part of a mechanical team consisting of entry-level, mid-level, and senior mechanics. You will learn every aspect of chassis, engine, and industrial assembly, contributing and building your mechanical skills. You will be expected to prepare with appropriate tools and safety equipment, take instructions, and be a team player. This position reports to the Assembly Supervisor and is located in Spring, Texas.

Requirements

  • 2+ years mechanical or electrical experience in automobiles, engines, trailers and/or industrial equipment manufacturing, or equivalent
  • High school diploma / GED, or equivalent additional job experience
  • Able to identify nuts and bolts by metric and standard units, grades, etc.
  • Able to install jacks, axles, tires, belts, chains, etc.
  • Experience wiring batteries, lights, and head units or equivalent from scratch
  • Willing to teach and train more junior Assemblers in industrial equipment manufacturing competencies
  • Able to understand job instructions and complete required job paperwork and documentation in English
  • Able and willing to work in both a warehouse and outdoor environment within various weather conditions
  • Highly motivated with a strong desire to learn and grow, ask questions, seek self-improvement and ability to manage your own time effectively

Responsibilities

  • Work effectively on all aspects of pump and package manufacturing under the guidance of the Assembly Supervisor
  • Lead and train small groups of Assemblers in mechanical assembly of industrial equipment
  • Adhere to all company policies and procedures, paying special attention to safety regulations
  • Assemble and build units that meet or exceed all quality standards within Production time constraints
  • Operate cranes and manufacturing equipment as required
  • Oversee regular inspections and routine maintenance of Assembly equipment, tools, and machinery
  • Show up on time and prepared for work every day with the appropriate tools and safety equipment
  • Submit and follow up on incident reports in a timely manner
  • Take instruction, adapt quickly, be a team player and learn from your mistakes
  • Wear all required Personal Protective Equipment
