About The Position

Our Assembly Technician is a key role in our Distribution team. In this role, you would be responsible for the assembly and testing of hydraulic systems including; valves, pumps, motors, PTO's, and other products sold by FORCE America. Due to the variety of components and variation of builds, unique assembly abilities are needed. FORCE America has been an employee-owned hydraulic manufacturer and distributor for over 70 years. Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • 1 year of relevant work experience, preferred.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude.
  • Familiarity with hand and power tools.
  • Strong sense of urgency and basic ability to prioritize in order to meet the expectations of the customer.
  • Detail oriented to provide the highest level of quality.
  • Customer focused.
  • Associates Degree in Fluid Power, Mechatronics, or related field strongly preferred.
  • Certified Fluid Power Specialist, preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Assemble fundamental components in accordance with the work instructions utilizing a combination of hand tools, power tools, and equipment.
  • Tests all assembled systems for standard expectations of quality, quantity, efficiency, and customer specifications consistently and correctly.
  • Maintains system accuracy and record transactions in ERP operating system.
  • Communicate with appropriate parties in relation to expedited orders, component quality issues, inventory records, etc.
  • Maintain safe and orderly work area.
  • Participate in the implementation of process improvements.
  • Participate in maintaining and suggesting safety practices and procedures.
  • Participate as a team member to achieve goals.
  • Other duties as assigned.
