About The Position

Position Summary Perform basic mechanical assembly and fabrication of products according to standard specifications and instructions in a shop environment. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Comply with all work safety procedures, company policies, and OSHA rules Custom fabrication of industrial control panels, junction boxes, and solar power skids Metal fabrication including cutting, drilling, taping, and forming enclosures, brackets, and panels Fiberglass enclosure modification Handling and mounting delicate electronic components Level I basic electrical wiring Assembly and fabrication of mechanical and pipe assemblies Compare actual materials used to Bill of Materials records for accuracy Keep accurate records for time tracking, inventory, and quality Follow written and verbal instructions Package and prepare projects for shipment Perform housekeeping duties to keep work areas clean, organized, and hazard free Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Strong mechanical aptitude, physical strength, and dexterity
  • Proficient in using both hand and power tools
  • Ability to read and understand production blueprints, diagrams, and electrical schematics
  • Physical stamina: able to stand for long periods and lift, push, or pull up to 60 lb
  • Color discrimination to ensure proper wiring
  • Strong teamwork and verbal/written communication skills
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Excel)
  • Ability to speak, write, and read English
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum of one year of manufacturing or production experience

Nice To Haves

  • Forklift operator certification or demonstrated ability to operate a forklift
