Team lead role assisting in the day-to-day operations of the department to meet production goals. P erforms value adding processes in the production department, supporting completion of final assembly of product which consists of tasks such as kitting, assembly and testing of finish goods.

Requirements

  • High school or equivalent preferred
  • Two years of assembly experience in a manufacturing setting
  • Ability to read and comprehend production department work instructions/work procedures
  • Must be able to work flexible and/or extended hours
  • Possess intermediate written and oral English communication skills

Nice To Haves

  • One year of Oracle Operating System, Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook experience preferred
  • Knowledge of use of all production related tools, fixturing, test equipment, and Material Handling equipment

Responsibilities

  • Provide direction of daily assignments to team
  • Train team members
  • Coordinates with supervisor on work scheduling
  • Oversees staff during the supervisor’s absence
  • Assures production departmental work procedures are followed
  • Keeps supervisor apprised of work conditions
  • Instructs production team members on proper tool usage; recommends improvement/repair of tools
  • Responsible for collecting data such as safety findings, quality findings, production numbers, misses on work schedules, etc., per the supervisor’s request
  • Ensures duties performed meet company policies, procedures, and safety requirements
  • Responsible for completing priorities in required time frame
  • Must adhere to Company’s policies and procedures
  • Must demonstrate commitment to safety & continual improvement of Operational Health and Safety (OH&S) performance, registered standards, company policy, integrity, ethics and legal compliance
  • Performs all other duties as assigned
  • Works overtime as assigned
