About The Position

Boeing Commercial Airplanes (BCA) is currently seeking an Assembly Fusion Team Lead Level C to join the Fuse Team-POS 0 located in North Charleston, SC on 1st shift . The Team Lead will be performing tasks in the following areas: pre-shift planning, crew meetings, team status updates, labor loss, production control, training, process improvement and Lean/BPS (Boeing Production System). The candidate must maintain all necessary certifications to perform the job.

Requirements

  • 1+ years of formal or informal lead experience
  • 1+ years’ of experience in aerospace, fabrication, or manufacturing
  • 1+ years’ of experience with the operations process involving the 787 airplane program

Nice To Haves

  • 1+ years of experience with aircraft electrical systems
  • 1+ years of experience with aircraft systems troubleshooting and fault repair

Responsibilities

  • Performs complex production assembly operations on structural parts, mechanical assemblies, sub-assemblies and aircraft systems, equipment and accessories using manual or automated assembly tools
  • Builds effective resource plans
  • Identifies and communicates risks to First Line Leader
  • Updates and communicates BPS metrics
  • Identifies KPI improvement actions
  • Assigns daily work
  • Leads team in daily safety check-in
  • Monitors and reports daily progress to plan
  • Works with support organizations and First Line Leader to mitigate performance risk
  • Documents and communicates shift turnover
  • Establishes overtime requirements and staffing
  • Responsible for monitor and control of 5S
  • Utilizes Rapid Problem Solving (RPS) and coordinates with Line Side Control Center (LSCC) to address issues
  • Creates standardized work instructions
  • Support teammates to improve their job performance including identifying training.
  • Responsible for BPS process improvements
  • Leads Kamishibai audits and Gemba walks
  • Must be able to work 1st Shift
