About The Position

As an Assembly Supervisor, you’ll be part of our team located in Willard, OH. You’ll oversee line activities and provide support to Group Leaders and Assemblers to meet or exceed plant measurables. You will collaborate with facility departments to provide input and direction for production operations, communicate with the Fabrication and Paint departments to monitor WIP levels, and ensure the correct parts and number of parts are sent to the correct locations. You will also complete corrective actions related to any quality issues, enter all CART issues for downtime tracking, ensure scrap and downtime forms are completed daily, coordinate schedules, and follow up on assignments and training of new assembly personnel. Additionally, you will attend relevant meetings, assist in the selection and development of department personnel, ensure the safe operation of all assembly equipment, maintain quality and production standards, provide timely performance evaluations, handle production personnel matters, develop methods for efficient planning, verify workstations are stocked and clean, and perform departmental tasks as assigned by the Manager.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Minimum of three years’ leadership experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
  • Mechanical aptitude and knowledge of SBD Willard products.
  • Ability to read, understand, and communicate bill of material and specification sheets.
  • Thorough understanding of SBD Willard policies and procedures.
  • Troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to tactfully interact with people at all levels.
  • High level of organizational and time management skills.
  • Effective written, math, and communication skills.
  • Ability to inspire and motivate others.
  • Proven excellent attendance history.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure safe operation of all assembly equipment.
  • Maintain quality, safety, and production standards.
  • Handle time and attendance approvals using appropriate software.
  • Provide timely performance evaluations for personnel.
  • Handle production personnel matters such as safety concerns.
  • Develop methods for efficient planning and execution of changeovers.
  • Verify workstations are stocked and clean before the end of the shift.
  • Perform departmental tasks as assigned by the Manager.
