About The Position

The Assembly Room Supervisor - 2nd Shift oversees the assembly operation to guarantee that manufacturing remains a smooth and efficient process by monitoring employees and organizing workflows. Team building and maintaining a professional attitude is of upmost importance. This position will directly supervise all assembly room personnel and will include addressing personnel issues, addressing policy violations as well as approving PTO and timecards. Attendance to a variety of management meetings is required. The goal is to ensure that we consistently deliver products of maximum quality, and in a timely manner.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent (Required)
  • 3-5 year of manufacturing or production with continued increase responsibility
  • Paychex
  • Knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer and personnel services. This includes customer needs assessment, meeting quality standards for services, and evaluation of customer satisfaction
  • Knowledge of the structure and content of the English language, including the meaning and spelling of words, rules of composition, and grammar
  • Knowledge of leadership techniques, production methods, and coordination of people and resources.
  • Knowledge of principles and procedures for selection and training
  • Knowledge of business and management principles involved in strategic planning, resource allocation, leadership technique, production methods, and coordination of people and resources
  • Knowledge of principles and procedures for personnel recruitment, selection, training, compensation, labor relations, and personnel information systems
  • Knowledge of administrative and office procedures and systems such as word processing, managing files and records, and workplace terminology.
  • Knowledge of electronic equipment/components, and computer software, including applications
  • Knowledge of the practical application of engineering science and technology. This includes applying principles, techniques, procedures, and equipment to the design and production
  • Knowledge of production processes, quality control, and other techniques for maximizing the effective manufacture of signage.

  • Use tools to assemble (screw drivers, plyers, wire-cutters, glue-gun, etc.)
  • Verify that all components within the sign or related products have been assembled together correctly and in perfect alignment
  • Ensure that quality and quality of all signage components are in available for assemblers to construct signage

Responsibilities

  • Address personnel questions and concerns. Elevate issues to upper management
  • Maintains work flow by monitoring steps of the process, monitoring personnel and resources, studying methods and implementing cost reductions
  • Manages a spirit of cooperation within and between departments
  • Completes production plan by scheduling and assigning personnel, defines daily targets and establishes priorities
  • Contributes to documenting data in record keeping systems to help company track specific KPI's
  • Maintains safe and clean work environment by educating and directing personnel on the use of all equipment and tools
  • Resolves personnel problems by analyzing data, investigating issues, identifying solutions and recommending action
  • Responsible to secure plant at end of shift
  • Special projects as assigned
