About The Position

The Assembly Supervisor is responsible for prioritizing, directing, and overseeing the daily production activities of the Assembly Department. These activities include, but are not limited to, component assembly, thread insert and captive hardware installation, pressure testing, and inspection. The Cambridge Division is Pace’s longest-running facility. Founded in 1945, Cambridge has been providing contract manufacturing die casting worldwide for 80 years. A 300,000-square-foot facility provides a large environment for expert manufacturing services. Requirements

  • Strong command of English, both written and verbal
  • Strong math skills
  • Basic mechanical skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office
  • Engineering, manufacturing, and/or mechanical experience.
  • Leadership experience

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred

Responsibilities

  • Overseeing product quality and adherence to company and customer standards
  • Recognizing and rectifying production and process deficiencies
  • Ensuring that safety protocol and precautions are followed
  • Training operators
  • Assisting in the development and setup of new assembly lines/processes
  • Setting up machines, equipment, installation tools, etc.
  • Communicating and planning across departments and shifts
  • Hands-on problem solving in an array of areas
  • Managing associates’ time and attendance according to company policies.
  • Conducting associate performance reviews, identifying performance gaps, and creating development plans.
