About The Position

The EHS & Emergency Services Manager at NBCUniversal is responsible for ensuring compliance with environmental health and safety regulations, developing training programs, and managing emergency services within the studio environment. This role involves overseeing safety protocols, managing vendor relationships, and fostering a culture of safety across the facility, which spans over 40 acres and includes various operational areas.

Requirements

  • B.S. in Emergency Management, EHS, Engineering, Chemistry, Biology, Homeland Security, Fire Administration, Business Continuity, or another relevant field.
  • 7+ years experience in EHS, Emergency Management, Business Continuity, or Fire Prevention functions.
  • Proven knowledge of fire prevention codes, regulations, and standards.
  • Proficient in Word, Access, Excel, and Power Point.
  • Required to be available at any time to coordinate response during an emergency.

Nice To Haves

  • Master's Degree in EHS.
  • Certified Emergency Manager (CEM), Certified Safety Professional or Certified Industrial Hygienist.
  • Certified Business Continuity Professional (CBCP-DRII) or similar certification.
  • Project Management experience.
  • Experience with Gensuite.
  • High-end TV and/or film production experience.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement Emergency Services and EHS programs, strategies, and operational processes in conjunction with the Los Angeles based team.
  • Implement studio policy including spill response, hazardous waste management, fire alarm testing, life safety system testing, and more.
  • Lead relevant studio programs including employee/contractor safety, electrical safety, fall protection, and personal protective equipment.
  • Serve as a technical advisor and problem solver for departmental teams by assessing and abating environmental, health, and safety hazards.
  • Work with site management to develop a culture of safety and compliance.
  • Manage injury and illness investigations and associated record keeping.
  • Develop and maintain strategic partnerships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Oversee safety team meetings including developing content and presenting.
  • Document work in information management systems (Gensuite).
