Assembly shop mechanic
About The Position
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented mechanic to join our team. In this role you will support 23XI Racing in the assembly, disassembly, and servicing of race cars and their components. This role will have a primary focus on engine installation and removal. The ideal candidate will possess strong mechanical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment. Requirements
- 3+ years of experience in a top-tier motorsports program
- High School Diploma or GED required
- Basic computer skills
- Thorough understanding of mechanical components and car systems
- Ability to assess and react to situations in a fast-paced stressful environment
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Skills to work independently, and operate well under pressure to meet tight deadlines
- Ability to identify and propose solutions to complex issues
- Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously
- Ability to drive execution and results
Responsibilities
- Install engines and ensure proper alignment and mounting
- Perform fluid plumbing for cooling, lubrication, and fuel systems
- Prepare and fit engine ductwork to meet aerodynamic and performance standards
- Support chassis dyno operations, including setup and monitoring
- Inspect and troubleshoot engine-related components for optimal performance
- Maintain accurate documentation of work performed and adhere to safety protocols
- Other duties as assigned by Manager
