About The Position

Repair and adjust production equipment to produce parts which conform to quality specifications, at specified output rates. Routinely troubleshoot equipment including dismantling and reassembling machine components. Perform changeovers, line clearance and cleaning. Work as a team with peers for maximum effectiveness in assigned tasks to maintain a production rate equal to or greater than the established standards. Responsible for product quality inspections, operating equipment, raw material/finished goods movement, and cleaning/sanitizing. Ensures compliance with BD quality systems, policies, procedures and best practices, and all local, state, federal and BD safety regulations, policies and procedures. Regular, punctual attendance is an essential job function. Ability to read and write and converse in English. Willing and able to uphold BD Values. D Shift - 6:00pm-6:00am- 13.5% Shift Differential JG1 / H09 Summary Responsible for performing all required inspection of medical devices using appropriate methods including visual inspection, test equipment inspection and documentation to ensure product meets specifications prior to release for production or shipping.

Requirements

  • Experience: Minimum of one year assembly experience preferred.
  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Knowledge/Skills: Ability to read, write and speak English.
  • Basic math skills.
  • Good communication skills.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to lift up to 25 lbs., use fine motor skills, bend, reach, push and pull.
  • Use of computer system.

Responsibilities

  • Assembles products according to production needs and quality standards.
  • Performs various inspections (visual and automated) on parts/components and finished goods.
  • Maintains good housekeeping practices in work area.
  • Records data as needed.
  • Participates in team meetings and contributes to continuous improvement.
  • Other duties as assigned.
