Pay rate betwen $20/hour-$30/hour Summary: Assembly Repair Mechanic are responsible to complete scheduled and routine maintenance work along with performing many other duties. Duties for the above, but are not restricted to, preventative/predictive maintenance, tearing down rotating assemblies diagnosing failure and writing up report. Assembling machine/ rotating assembly once all parts are fixed back to OEM condition

Requirements

Minimum high school diploma or have a GED equivalent
Flexibility to work any shifts to meet mill needs
Continue to develop skills to become a multi-skill mechanic (including millwright, welding, and other fields as needed)
Operate or work in industrial conditions (i.e. warm/hot, dusty/dirty, around hazardous chemicals, noise, and heavy machinery or elevated working surfaces with proper safety training and safety protection)
Personally exhibit safety as a core value and effectively communicate a shared vision for safety
Represent both company policy and direction
Develop knowledge of department and mill operations processes, equipment and systems
Utilize excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Work effectively alone or within a team
Utilize strong organizational skills to handle multiple tasks effectively
Analyze problems and develop solutions independently or with teams
Basic computer skills
Make timely and effective decisions

Responsibilities

Read blueprints, drawings, measure for bearing clearance and shaft diameters using inside/outside mics, and Romer Arm.
Dismantle machines as needed
Move and align machinery and equipment using hoists, dollies, rollers, and trucks
Utilize hoist, lift trucks, hand tools and power tools
Operate cranes, and fork lifts
Use large bearing puller, torch, and light TIG welding
Install machinery; new and existing equipment, mill site if needed
Trouble shoot equipment reliability issues
