About The Position

The Assembly Process Technician I consists of multiple processes: Assembly – includes the assembly of medical components, subassemblies, products, or systems, ranging from repetitive to non-repetitive responsibilities. Laser Mark - Laser marking is a permanent process that uses a beam of concentrated light to create a lasting mark on various types of material surfaces. Laser mark personnel are required to produce a quality laser mark on instruments and implants according to customer requirements. Laser Welding - Laser beam welding (LBW) is a welding technique that joins pieces of metal using a laser. Forming – the art of bending metal to a specific shape or dimension. Heat Staking - the process of joining two dissimilar materials together using heat. Painting – the process of applying paint to grooves, numbers, and indicators specific to print requirements. All parts have to pass through this area to meet any and all customer requirements. As an Assembly Process Technician, I, you will be responsible operating in one or more areas described above.

Requirements

  • A minimum of a High School diploma or general education degree (GED) is required.
  • Experience understanding proper documentation/quality requirements for a regulated environment.
  • Understand relevant Safety requirements.
  • Must be able to work in a team environment.
  • Must have strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to work in multiple areas as needed.
  • Must be able to speak, read and write in the English language.
  • Good vision either natural or thru correction (Glasses/Contacts lens) is needed for this position.
  • Ability to see colors.
  • Ability to bend, stoop, grip, reach and lift up to 40 lbs. on a repetitive basis.
  • Able to stand the majority of the shift to perform duties.

Responsibilities

  • Process parts according to the customer print and or EMS specifications.
  • Maintain a high degree of quality in your work area or station.
  • Maintain equipment cleanliness and organization for your benefit and that of your fellow employees.
  • Maintain line clearance at all times.
  • Identify non-conforming product and notify appropriate personnel or management.
  • Record production through Job Boss system.
  • Check to ensure all documentation (routers, inspection sheets, etc.) is filled in correctly and completely following Good Documentation Practices (GDP).
  • Ability to escalate issues or concerns that require review of equipment for repair or adjustment to the Production.
  • Support the EMS Quality Policy and Quality Objectives.
  • Perform Other Duties as assigned.
