About the position

Eaton’s EPG CHD EP Americas division is currently seeking a Assembly Packer Team Lead. The core hours are 5:00am to 1:30pm. The hourly rate for this position is $23.97 per hour. Please note the salary information shown above is a general guideline only. Salaries are based upon candidate skills, experience, and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.

Responsibilities

  • Maintains production control boards/Tier boards in area.
  • Recommends work schedule for area, including overtime and staffing, estimates worker hour requirements, and adjusts work procedures to meet production schedules as instructed by supervisor.
  • Escalates all corrective actions to supervisor.
  • Ensures all work instructions are followed in assigned areas.
  • Assists supervisor in defining current employees’ level of training, cross training needs, training plans, maintaining a training matrix, and training employees in new operations and equipment.
  • Analyzes work orders and blueprints to determine information such as material to be used, ordered, type of operations, and sequence of operations required to machine parts to print specifications.
  • Examines defective machinery to determine cause of malfunction and reports need for machine repairs.
  • Inspects work in progress and finished products.
  • Recommends measures to improve production methods, equipment performance, and product quality.
  • Analyzes and resolves work issues and assists co-workers in solving issues.
  • Assists in production regularly or as assigned.

Requirements

  • A minimum of two (2) years of work experience in manufacturing environment.
  • High School Diploma or GED from an accredited institution.
  • Ability to work in the US without sponsorship now or in the future.

Nice-to-haves

  • Ability to stand and/or walk for 8-12 hours and to lift/carry up to 40 pounds.
  • Ability to become certified to operate forklift.
  • Follow all safety regulations.
  • Understand and utilize the lockout/tagout procedures.
  • Ability to use a variety of hand, pneumatic, semi-automatic, and power tools.
  • Ability to use and be around spray paint.
  • Ability to read, comprehend, and follow moderately technical standards, instructions, and maintenance procedures.
  • Involves some bending, twisting motion, walking upstairs, reaching (lateral and bilateral), and frequent hand motion.
  • Ability to work around molten metal and in a production environment that is hot.
  • Ability to work weekends and extended shifts as needed.
  • Ability to flex personal schedule to cover tasks on other shifts.
  • Ability to work proactively and communicate effectively while working with all employees throughout plant.
  • Ability to perform basic computer functions: ESafety, MESH Prism.
