With 9,000 global employees, Pentair serves customers in more than 150 countries. This opportunity is for an Assembly Operator to join the White Bear Lake, MN team. The role involves following procedures for assembling products, handling products, equipment, and materials according to production department and company quality system procedures. The operator may be directly involved in various production areas, including seaming, banding, packaging, core cutting, pleating, and dispensing. Ideal candidates are focused, capable of meeting high hourly assembly targets, and can perform repetitive work and motions.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 6 months or more of experience in production with an emphasis on good manufacturing practices
  • Requires both written and verbal communication skills in English
  • Ability to perform physical requirements including standing, walking, twisting at the waist, lifting, and lowering weights up to 40lbs
  • Steel toed shoes are required on the distribution floor

Responsibilities

  • Conducts safe and timely set up of assigned equipment using the work order, route packets, set ups and test methods
  • Operates assigned equipment to meet production standards
  • Conducts setup and operation of assigned equipment, inspects machined features to maintain quality, adjusts machine and changes perishable tooling
  • Expected to raise issues when exposed to clearly defined problems and/or instructions
  • Follows all 5S practices and supports lean activities, as well as safety regulations, policies and procedures
  • Inspects equipment and manufacturing parts to ensure quality
  • Compliance with laws and regulations related to quality, safety and performance requirements
  • Reviews shop operations packets, Bills-of-Materials, and engineering drawings to ensure that incoming materials to be assembled are correct to specified quantity/quality/part number
