Be part of our mission to Advance Life Around the World.  Assembly Technician (Day Shift) Dura-Line, an Orbia business, is hiring Assembly Technicians to join our Elyria, OH Team.     At Dura-Line we create solutions that better connect people and information across the globe. Your work with us will help reinvent the future of cities and homes, link communities to data infrastructure, expand access to health and wellness, and create critical human connections between families and friends.    Schedule: Day Shift Hours, Monday-Friday, 7am-3:00pm Pay: Competitive starting hourly wage of $16.50 per hour.   Job Description  As an Assembly Operator, you will play a critical role in ensuring that all products meet the highest standards of quality and accuracy. The Assembly Operator will collaborate with and support fellow production workers to ensure that work stations are supplied and stocked and production is ready to run safely and efficiently.   This position is a full-time position, on-site at our Tape Operation plant located at: Sugar Lane, Elyria OH 44035   SIGN-ON BONUS OFFERED!:  $500 after 90 days, $1,000 after 180 days totaling $1,500.00

Requirements

  • 1 year of manufacturing experience.
  • Must be able to speak, read and write English, Bi-Lingual is a Plus!
  • Your commitment to being a reliable and punctual team player. (Attendance on scheduled workdays is a must!) 
  • Your commitment to wearing gloves, eye protection, and steel toe boots always, and dust mask, earplugs, hard hats, and face shields as necessary. 
  • Maintain a safe, neat, and orderly workspace. 
  • Your ability to lift up to 40 pounds without assistance.
  • Your ability to work most of the time indoors on the plant floor, with heat, dust, and noise and work some of the time outdoors in any weather condition. 
  • Your ability to remain in a stationary, standing position and also able to move around frequently. Must be able to squat, bend, or stoop as much as 25% of the time on some days.

Responsibilities

  • Assemble and package product according to order specifications
  • Perform all prep and setup for order
  • Stock and maintain inventory
  • Cut and roll tangs
  • Prep station items that support assembly & CNC
  • Assist co-workers as required
  • Additional duties as directed by management
