About The Position

The Assembly Operator is responsible for a variety of tasks including the assembly of connector materials in compliance with internal, manufacturer, and/or military quality standards. This role involves the safe operation of various tools and equipment within the Assembly department and performing assigned operations to meet customer expectations regarding quality, cost, and on-time performance according to work order specifications and deadlines. The operator is also accountable for meeting company-wide expectations in areas such as safety, quality, productivity, attendance, attitude/teamwork, and cross-training. The position requires ensuring TTI meets or exceeds internal and external customer expectations, achieving established quality and productivity goals, and strictly adhering to standard operating procedures. Maintaining acceptable time and attendance, demonstrating a positive team-oriented attitude, working independently with minimal supervision, and contributing to a safe working environment are also key aspects of this role.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED)
  • Excellent eye-hand coordination
  • Goal focused
  • Effective English communication skills
  • Ability to work with adhesives/chemicals
  • Ability to read English and comprehend simple written work instructions
  • Ability to count accurately and perform simple math
  • Basic computer navigation and typing skills
  • Ability to lift, push, pull, and move objects up to 50 pounds on a frequent basis using proper lifting techniques
  • Ability to twist, stoop, squat, bend, and reach on a frequent basis
  • Ability to sit, stand and/or walk for extended periods of time
  • Ability to climb ladders and stairs
  • Must be a U.S. Person as defined by ITAR (U.S. Citizen, U.S. Permanent Resident, Political Asylee, or Refugee)

Responsibilities

  • Assembly of connector materials in compliance with internal, manufacturer, and/or military quality standards
  • Safe operation of various tools and equipment within the Assembly department
  • Perform assigned Assembly operations to meet customer expectations regarding quality, cost, and on time performance according to work order specifications and deadlines
  • Meet company-wide expectations in the areas of safety, quality, productivity, attendance, attitude/teamwork, and cross training in all areas of assembly as required
  • Ensure TTI meets or exceeds internal and external customer expectations for quality, cost, and on-time delivery within the areas of assigned responsibility
  • Meet established quality goals in relation to errors measured as “parts per million” produced and productivity goals as defined by Management
  • Actively participate in job qualification audits and strictly adhere to all established standard operating procedures
  • Maintain acceptable time and attendance based on TTI policies defined by Human Resources and Operations
  • Be available to work overtime as required due to business demands
  • Demonstrate a positive “team” oriented attitude and approach toward work assignments in full collaboration and cooperation with others to complete all work assignments according to expectations and in the most effective and efficient manner possible
  • Contribute to the ongoing success of the entire assembly team by willingly accepting and embracing “other duties as required”
  • Work independently with minimal supervision
  • Work with a sense of urgency
  • Maintain an overall positive attitude focused on delivery of desired results for TTI
  • Ensure a safe working environment for self and others by adhering to established safe operating policies and expectations
  • Notify management of any observed safety hazards
  • Support daily assembly department metrics on safety, quality, delivery, and cost
  • Perform FOD (foreign object detection) and location maintenance to ensure 5S standards are maintained
  • Actively cross train in other areas, as required, outside of primary job function

Benefits

  • $16.65 per hour (including shift premium)
  • Increases at 90 and 360 days if meeting expectations
