About The Position

We are seeking a skilled Assembly Operator to join our team at Emerson in Sandusky, MI ! You will assemble basic valves and associated product with the given supplied components to the specifications of the customer. This is obtained by providing high-quality and on-time products to meet customer requirements effectively and efficiently. In this Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be: General assembly processing procedures according to blueprint and SOP standards. Basic blueprint reading and understanding of BOM’s and Routers. Tests and calibrates components and mechanisms to meet tolerances and product specifications. Uses hand tools and power tools to assemble product according to product specifications. Identifies product that fail tests or tolerance levels and may repair as necessary. Perform changeover of tools, fixtures and test setups. Reports to Assembly Supervisor and has contact with internal customers and co-workers. Observe established safe working, housekeeping procedures and promptly correct and / or notify supervisor All supplemental duties, responsibilities, or non-essential requirements as assigned. No experience required with high school diploma/GED; 1 year of experience is preferred. Ability to produce a quality part at a productive rate. Ability to use basic hand tools, as well as electrical pneumatics test fixtures. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Extremely reliable and dependable, with strong teamwork. Legal authorization to work in the United States - Sponsorship will not be provided PHYSICAL DEMAND: While performing duties may be required to sit, stand, walk, stoop, bend, twist or lift. May be required to work more than 8 hours in a day or 40 hours in a week based on departmental needs. WORKING ENVIRONMENT: Office and manufacturing environment. May be exposed to manufacturing plant conditions and elements including, but not limited to, noise, dust, dirt, oil, and grease. PPE’s may be required including safety glasses, gloves, ear plugs and safety shoes in specified areas of the plant.
