About The Position

Our client is looking for an Assembly Operator; your job will be to build next generation technology for the warfighter. You will perform a variety of tasks in support of a manufacturing/production environment. Duties for this position includes working in a cleanroom environment, performing mechanical assembly using various tools and fasteners. Types of hardware include: machined housings, circuit cards, mirrors, motors, and optical assemblies. Will be using chemicals and performing detailed hand manipulation with wire sleeving, solder, and bonding materials. Additionally, the operator will be required to use precision torque tools, solder, repair and/or inspect electric and mechanical systems. This position also requires the operator to pass certifications and to work limited overtime when needed. The operator is expected to cross-train for other areas and be engaged with daily production activities that drive continuous improvement in cost, quality and schedule performance. a variety of tasks in support of a manufacturing/production environment.

Requirements

  • US Citizenship
  • High school, secondary school or equivalent
  • Minimum of 2 years of work experience
  • Experience working with minimal supervision
  • Self-Motivated
  • Ability to read, understand and follow test instructions including technical drawings and testing process documents
  • The use of personal protective equipment (PPE) for 8+ hours a day is required
  • Ability to work weekends and/or overtime as required
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment

Nice To Haves

  • Technical certificate or associate's degree is preferred
  • Ability to train others in assembly processes once certified
  • Experience using shop floor management software (CMES, SAP, etc.) or similar
