About The Position
The Assembly Operator position at Igloo Products Corp. is a full-time role focused on the operation of assembly equipment to manufacture plastic parts for cooler-related products. This position is essential in ensuring that the products meet quality and production standards. The operator will be responsible for manually assembling parts by following specific work instructions, monitoring parts and products for quality issues, and notifying the Line Lead, Quality, Supervisor, or Manager if any discrepancies are detected. The role requires placing fully assembled items in boxes and ensuring they are stored in their designated locations. Safety is a priority, and the operator must adhere to all safety policies and procedures while maintaining good housekeeping practices in their work area and common areas. In addition to assembly tasks, the operator will perform activities such as screw gunning, foaming, cleaning, and drain plug operation. Understanding the escalation process is crucial in case the operator is not receiving the proper tools, training, and guidance. The operator is expected to meet both efficiency and quality standards while working on the lines, monitor the assembly machinery for proper functionality, and report any defects in the line or machinery to the appropriate personnel. Regular attendance is required, and the operator may be required to work mandatory overtime or irregular hours to meet business needs. The role also includes relieving other machine operators as needed and training new operators as required, while participating in continuous improvement initiatives and supporting line leaders as requested.
