About The Position

As an Assembly Operator Lead at nVent Management Company, you will hold a key position in ensuring our production processes run smoothly and efficiently. You will operate machinery, hand tools, and pneumatic tools involved in highly repetitive and routine functions such as riveting, drilling, gluing, and assembling. You will apply forklift equipment to pull materials and ensure timely movement within the production area. Additionally, you will install hardware, perform quality inspection/checks, and package finished goods for shipping, maintaining a flawless standard. The role requires working in a fast-paced, repetitive environment and participating in teams to improve processes and drive continuous improvement. You will observe all prescribed safety rules and regulations, maintaining a neat and orderly work area. Supporting the production process by filling in positions on the line as needed to maintain workflow during absences is also part of your responsibilities. As a change agent, you will drive out waste through the deployment of Lean methodology and complete and coordinate employee cross-training to achieve efficient team functionality and ensure a world-class production environment. Recognizing and involving employees in problem-solving and decision-making will encourage an inclusive and collaborative culture.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent experience, preferred.
  • Experience in a manufacturing setting, preferred.
  • Proficiency with Windows Word, Excel, Outlook, JD Edwards, and the Internet.
  • Forklift experience, preferred.
  • Excellent communication skills with the proven ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities
