About The Position

The Assembler at Siemens is responsible for assembling component parts for rail signaling and communications equipment. This role involves following assembly prints and Bill of Materials, ensuring quality and safety in the assembly process, and actively participating in team meetings to address production needs and quality challenges.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to read work instructions, schematics, assembly drawings, and prints.
• Understanding of the English language for verbal instructions.
• Previous experience in Mechanical Assembly preferred.
• Soldering skills may be required (training and test will be provided).
• Previous Electronic experience in PCB assembly and/or cable assembly may be required.

Nice To Haves

• Experience with power tools and hand tools.
• Ability to work in a factory environment with exposure to noise.

Responsibilities

• Assemble component parts using assembly prints and Bill of Materials.
• Perform wire crimping, stripping, and soldering as required.
• Maintain equipment in proper working order and improve work area cleanliness.
• Follow standard work instructions to perform tasks safely and efficiently.
• Participate in cell meetings to understand customer and production needs.
• Package and ship products as needed.
• Verify product assembly using 'Go/No Go' fixtures.
• Communicate ideas to cell leaders for performance improvement and waste elimination.
• Utilize visual boards for communication of challenges and KPI information.
• Participate in kaizen and other cell improvement teams.
• Use kanban methodology for stocking materials.
• Attend company meetings as required.
