About The Position

The Assembly Operator performs routine and repetitive assembly operations and processes under direct supervision. This position requires availability for 2nd shift hours, specifically from Noon to 8 PM. The role involves performing machine and/or manual assembly, soldering, and computer work, while accurately following procedures and work instructions. The operator is expected to take ownership of the accuracy of processes and meet internal and external customer deadlines. Participation in cost reduction plans, waste minimization efforts, and audits is also required. The position may require standing for long periods and lifting up to 25 pounds.

Requirements

• Requires HS Diploma or equivalent.
• In the absence of a HS diploma or equivalent, 2 years of relevant experience is required.
• Must be a U.S. Person (U.S. citizen, permanent resident, or granted refugee or asylee status).
• Must be willing and able to work 2nd shift hours, Noon - 8 PM.

• Ability to read, interpret, and follow documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, procedure manuals, and assembly instructions.

Responsibilities

• Perform machine and/or manual assembly.
• Scope, soldering, and computer work required.
• Accurately read and follow procedures, routing, and other work instructions.
• Meet internal and external customer deadlines.
• Build parts that meet drawing specifications.
• Comply with applicable elements of quality systems (ACE).
• Demonstrate initiative to keep processes moving and on schedule.
• Understand and use computer tools such as SAP.
• Achieve special process certification where applicable.
• Participate in cost reduction plans and waste minimization efforts.
• Participate in audits.
