About The Position

Assembles components, loads, unloads, and operates Assembly machines within a fast-paced environment to produce world-class quality products. Requirements

• High School diploma/GED or basic skills assessment required.
• 6 months of assembly related experience preferred.
• Experience in fast paced industrial lean environment.
• Basic computer knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Must have the ability and willingness to be trained on and perform all assembly line operations within the BorgWarner Assembly manufacturing process.
• Visually inspect and assemble small components to quality standards.
• Use hand-held gages.
• Work with automatic transmission fluid.
• Work well in a team environment.
• Safely perform all tasks assigned by the Team Lead/Coordinator including all positions within the Assembly department.
• Safely operate all equipment in the Assembly department.
• Read and understand job aids/work instructions and/or follow oral instructions to execute the component flow requirements.
• Manually load, unload, and/or maneuver materials onto or from pallets, trays, racks, baskets, and shelves on foot and by hand as required.
• Support 5S / Housekeeping activities as required.
• Use appropriate hold tags to process defective parts through nonconforming material procedure.
• Perform SAP entries and transactions as needed.
• Adhere to standard work procedures to assemble units in addition to development and continuous improvement to the standards.
• Perform required work steps within required cycle time.
• Wear all required PPE and follow safety protocols.
• Additional duties may be assigned.
