Requirements

  • Experience developing and deploying operator work instructions
  • Experience with process development, tooling design, fixture, and workstation layout
  • Experience with bill of materials (BOM) structure, build papers, and ECN process execution
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a team environment
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ideally you will have a degree or equivalent related work experience in the following: Bachelor’s degree in engineering or technology discipline or equivalent related work experience

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with John Deere–specific manufacturing software, including: JDAAT (John Deere Assembly Assist Tool) and MPP (Manufacturing Process Planner)
  • Experience implementing changes in a production environment through negotiation and conflict resolution
  • Experience with SAP, PDM, Creo, and AutoCAD
  • Experience with line design, DLBT, time studies, line balancing, and cost/pay structure
  • Capital project experience

Responsibilities

  • Drive improvement projects that positively impact Safety, Quality, Cost, and Efficiency, with strong Natural Work Group and operator engagement
  • Support the implementation of new products and manage ECN/CI change control for current production
  • Research, initiate, and execute safety and ergonomic improvement activities and projects
  • Rigorously execute assembly process audits
  • Lead the analysis, development, and implementation of new manufacturing processes and technologies aligned with the Smart Connected Factory strategy
