About The Position

The Lead Drinking Water and Softener Assembler is proficient in every aspect of one or more product lines ensuring continuity of daily operations for the production team. This list of responsibilities is not exhaustive. Other duties may be required to be undertaken which fall within the scope and general level of responsibility attached to the role. What you need to succeed: High School Diploma or GED required, or three (3) to five (5) years of experience in similar environments Ability to provide instruction and mentorship to junior team members Good mechanical aptitude Ability to use hand tools and work with small parts Good organizational skills Good problem-solving skills General computer skills Good verbal communication skills Reliable with positive attitude and flexible approach Physical Effort and Work Environment Work performed in a shop environment Frequent standing, walking, bending and reaching Frequent lifting of up to 50 pounds and maneuvering up to 75 pounds  Frequent exposure to production noise Frequent exposure to silicone. Work is performed in a highly demanding environment due to quantity and quality expectations. Periodic exposure to heat or cold due to seasonal changes.

Requirements

Responsibilities

  • Follows established job instructions to assemble products and meet daily quantity and quality expectations in one or more product lines.
  • Collaborates with Supervisor to ensure efficient department operation.
  • Provides input into daily production schedule based on resource availability.
  • Communicates material needs and availability to material handlers to reduce line stoppage.
  • Tests assembled products for adherence to quality standards.
  • Packages product according to job instructions and specifications.
  • Provides training to junior team members in accordance with PEDOC process.
  • Scans work order to record assembly and to flush inventory at required intervals.
  • Performs inventory cycle counts daily and works with inventory specialist to record balancing transactions.
  • Prepares for and presents daily production metrics to operations management team.
  • Recommends process and documentation changes.
  • Works with Product Specialists to assist in diagnosis of problems.
  • Maintains a clean and organized work space.
  • Uses communication skills to exchange information among process leads, supervisor, maintenance and product specialists.
