About The Position

The position involves coordinating workflow and communication with all other departments to maintain efficient operations. The individual will ensure that all employees are safety compliant and following FGS/NOV safety procedures at all times. Responsibilities include monitoring shop floor personnel to ensure adherence to housekeeping standards and company policies, maintaining knowledge of equipment, processes, and specifications to ensure correct machine setup and product quality, and driving the team to meet or exceed quality and production goals. The role also includes controlling and checking the work performed by assigned personnel in the mandrel area to ensure the products produced meet or exceed quality standards, production goals, and promised customer dates. The individual will ensure all necessary materials, tools, and resources are available for production activities, prepare stores requisition, and complete inventory checks and reports. Additionally, the position requires accurately completing records and reports, determining quality defects, coordinating corrective actions, and inspecting parts for compliance with specifications.

Requirements

  • Willingness to work overtime and shift schedules as required.
  • Physical ability to bend, lift, walk, stand, and perform repetitive movements for up to 12 hours daily.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. regularly and push/pull for extended periods.
  • Strong ability to read and interpret specifications, technical drawings, and related documentation.
  • Commitment to safe work practices and proper use of all safety equipment.
  • Occasional travel (less than 10%).

Nice To Haves

  • Bilingual skills preferred.
  • Prior experience in a supervisory or lead role, or significant experience within manufacturing operations.
  • Familiarity with workplace policies, safety standards, and company procedures.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure all employees are safety compliant and following FGS/NOV safety procedures at all times.
  • Monitor shop floor personnel to ensure adherence to housekeeping standards and company policies.
  • Maintain knowledge of equipment, processes, and specifications to ensure correct machine setup and product quality.
  • Run chopper gun or center carriage and support training and development of new employees through On-the-Job Training (OJT) initiatives.
  • Drive the team to meet or exceed quality and production goals.
  • Control and check the work performed by assigned personnel in the mandrel area to ensure quality standards are met.
  • Ensure all necessary materials, tools, and resources are available for production activities.
  • Prepare stores requisition and ensure proper raw materials are available.
  • Complete inventory checks and report material needs.
  • Accurately complete records and reports including shell records, manufacturing records, SPC charts, and shift reports.
  • Determine quality defects and coordinate corrective action.
  • Inspect parts for thickness, color cure, specification compliance, and visual standard compliance.
