About The Position

The Assembly Laborer reports to a supervisor and is responsible for assembling components according to product specifications. This position involves preparing work by studying assembly instructions, blueprint specifications, and parts lists; gathering parts, subassemblies, tools, and materials. The role requires positioning parts and subassemblies using templates or measurements, assembling components by examining connections for correct fit, and resolving assembly problems by altering dimensions to meet specifications. The Assembly Laborer must maintain equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements and manage supplies inventory by checking stock levels and placing orders as needed. Daily communication with the supervisor regarding potential issues is essential, as is maintaining a safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations. The position contributes to team efforts by accomplishing quality and timely results and may involve performing other duties as directed by supervisors and management.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Up to 2 years of experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Ability to identify that product meets quality and productivity standards.
  • Ability to use hand tools.
  • Ability to focus on details to guarantee production of high quality products.
  • Ability to read and follow documented procedures and standards.
  • Ability to perform multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Willing and available to work overtime to reach goals.
  • Clear communication (oral and written) skills.
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus.
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
