Job Description Summary Under direction of a degreed engineer, performs a variety of basic to moderately-difficult engineering projects that require a fundamental knowledge of design/drafting standards, practices, and techniques. The incumbent at this level typically takes engineering notes, specifications, rough sketches, etc., and formalizes them into working drawings. Assignments are designed to develop a practical knowledge of equipment, facilities, and systems, and their interrelationships within a particular engineering discipline.

Requirements

Requirements include PC literacy
Working knowledge of CAD
Working knowledge of other computer software used to complete design assignments
Literate in PC software, a working knowledge of CAD, and other computer software used to complete design assignments.
Incumbent must be enrolled in an Engineering curriculum at an accredited college or university have completed typically 1+ year of studies in a major Engineering discipline (e.g., Civil, Electrical, Mechanical, etc.).

Responsibilities

Assisting engineers with technical tasks, troubleshooting, and problem-solving
Working with cross-functional teams, including other engineers, designers, and stakeholders, to achieve project goals.
Preparing technical documentation, reports, and manuals.
Assisting with project support tasks, including scheduling, tracking progress, and ensuring deadlines are met.
Conducting research to support engineering projects and staying updated on industry trends and technologies.
Participating in quality assurance processes, including inspections and audits.
Performs other responsibilities associated with this position as may be appropriate.
