About The Position

This description summarizes the requirements of an Assembly I employee performing in the Assembly I classification. Work with team lead employees to acquire skills required for promotion to Assembly II level. Must demonstrate the ability to complete and understand direction from team leads and other management employees. Responsible for performing production work in the factory environment.

Requirements

A high school diploma, GED and or equivalency.
Experience with power and hand tools a plus
Basic Math and Communication skills required
Entry level- will train.
Basic computer skills – will train

Responsibilities

Maintain safe work environment (i.e. use of personal protective equipment, proper lifting techniques, etc)
Gain knowledge and inspection practice to ensure conformance to Quality specifications.
Inform Management or Leads of any part or equipment defects to ensure prompt response to the problem.
Start up and stop equipment.
Familiarize yourself with the tools, instrumentation, and calibration equipment.
Clean production area (sweep, mop, and remove debris)
Load and unload items from machines, carts, and dollies.
Feed or place items onto equipment for processing.
Ensure conformance to specifications.
Mark parts for identification.
Place equipment in baskets, totes and or on conveyor belt for further processing.
Scrape waste material from machine.
Read and interpret gauges.
Record data.
Use Epicor ERP to log into and out of jobs
Take instructions from management/supervisory staff.
Conserve resources and supplies to facilitate minimum waste.
Work from routings, manufacturing instruction sheets, blueprints, visual aids, or other instructions to manufacture product at required quality levels
Assemble Components accurately, thoroughly, and quickly to approved specifications.
Perform all others duties as assigned.
