About The Position

Mechanical, bonding, and electrical fabrication of flight and ground support hardware. Electronic, mechanical, or electromechanical assembly. Perform a variety of hands-on mechanical assembly tasks ranging from repetitive to nonrepetitive production assembly operations. Disassemble, modify, rework, reassemble, and test experimental or prototype assemblies Work as a member of a team communicating technical issues to Manufacturing / Quality Engineers while supporting corrective actions. Evaluate new processes, products, and identify problems Willing to work shift work and extended shifts, overtime if required to support schedule. Ability to be trained to perform all duties in accordance with Lockheed Martin training requirements, such as hand soldering, bonding, harness fabrication, module assembly and black box level assembly.

Requirements

  • Mechanical dexterity.
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and parts lists.
  • Ability to pass JSTD-001 certification, SSC JSTD001MAP Solder OPER Certification, SSC NASA Polymerics Operator Certification and SSC NASA Cable/Harness, Operator Certification.
  • Ability to obtain a Secret security clearance.

Nice To Haves

  • Proficient in machining, drilling, bonding, polymerics and cable fabrication.
  • JSTD-001 certification.
  • Proficient with hand tool precision machining, drilling, fixture usage and bonding.
  • Proficiencies with mechanical type fabrication of avionics boxes, ground support rack fabrication, CCA fabrication.
  • Solid computer skills, competent with MS Word, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint.
  • Preferred candidate should be proficient with VE-CAMS and SAP.
  • 2 years experience in the industry.
