About The Position

The position involves setting up, assembling, disassembling, and testing various aerospace components, including actuators and gas turbine assemblies. The role requires adherence to environmental, health, and safety protocols while working with detailed operational instructions and specifications. Employees will be responsible for ensuring the quality and functionality of hardware through rigorous testing and calibration processes, as well as instructing fellow employees in proper procedures.

Requirements

• 1-2 years of related experience.
• U.S. citizenship is required.

Nice To Haves

• Experience with arithmetic involving decimals and fractions.
• Experience with measuring equipment such as micrometers and ohmmeters.
• Experience with basic hand tools, specifically torque wrenches.
• Experience reading blueprints or electronic manuals.

Responsibilities

• Set up, assemble, disassemble, and test actuators and gas turbine assemblies.
• Work from operation sheets, blueprints, and other written instructions.
• Assemble hardware while maintaining close fits and tolerances.
• Solder, crimp, and pot electrical components.
• Dry test and calibrate component assemblies to meet specifications.
• Test hardware under various conditions and record data accurately.
• Inspect and repair internal and external leaks of equipment and hardware.
• Use various gaging tools to ensure quality standards are met.
• Instruct fellow employees in proper performance of duties.
• Receive, store, and inventory parts and materials.
• Make electrical inspections and check for resistance, voltage, and continuity.
• Perform procedural checks and verify test and calibration requirements.
