About The Position

The Large Power Systems Division (LPSD) designs and manufactures a comprehensive lineup of large diesel and natural gas engines, engine components, and powertrains. As an Assembly and Test Specialist at Caterpillar Pontiac, your role involves continuously improving process efficiency by performing routine assembly and testing of component products through various stages of manufacturing.
Requirements
- A minimum of 6 months of experience working in a manufacturing or engine maintenance role.
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions (ex. Schematics, standard work, and/or blueprints).
- Good communication and organizational skills.
- Strong commitment to safety and teamwork.
Responsibilities
- Utilize hand and pneumatic tools to assemble, test, rework, and repair Fuel Injectors and Fuel Pumps.
- Utilize hand and pneumatic tools to assemble exhaust systems and PETU tanks with pumps, wiring harnesses, insulation, and other required components.
- Operate test machines.
- Disassemble and reassemble complex components to repair or replace damaged injector parts to transport prime product.
