Apply your expertise as an Assembly and Process Technician in our Valmet Tissue Converting Team out of our Green Bay, WI office. Position Summary: We are seeking a highly motivated and technically skilled assembler to support tissue production and converting equipment. This position will w ork with Production Manager and lead technicians to assemble and test machines as required to meet production schedules.

Requirements

  • Associate’s degree or technical diploma, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Ability to work with bill of materials as well as understanding of technical drawings and schematics.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude with the ability to understand and explain complex systems and processes.
  • Basic operation of hand and machine tools (mill, lathe, press, tap).
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to troubleshooting.
  • Effective communication skills and a collaborative mindset for working with cross-functional teams and customers.

Nice To Haves

  • Hands-on experience with tissue production and/or converting equipment preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Work with a team to assemble and test converting and packaging machines/lines.
  • Perform internal and customer check-outs , matching machine performance to contract specifications .
  • Document and complete punch -list items prior to shipment .
  • Document changes in machine BOM’s and manufacturing errors .
  • Identify and maintain a safe work environment respecting 5S principle .
  • Participate in Continuous improvement project teams
  • Support the team in organization of material for machine assembly
  • Maintenance of tools and fixtures for shop and office
