Join OUR TEAM and play a key role in manufacturing at Allegion's Steelcraft facility, a major manufacturer of Steel Frames & Doors. Reporting into one of our Value Streams, Frames or Doors, you will be responsible for performing a variety of duties, including manual work handling materials for our various manufacturing and service departments. Previous manufacturing experience is preferred, however don't let this deter you from applying as we will support you in your training and development! Requirements

  • You must have the ability to see well, including strong depth perception and the ability to distinguish between colors
  • You will be required to continuously or near continuously stand and maintain your balance
  • You will need to be able to frequently (4 or more hours per day): lift, carry (25-50 lbs.), stoop, twist, and reach (overhead and to the side)
  • You need to be able to occasionally walk, push & pull heavy carts
  • Climbing, kneeling, and crouching may also be required

Nice To Haves

  • Previous manufacturing experience is preferred, however don't let this deter you from applying as we will support you in your training and development!

Responsibilities

  • Perform production work as directed to assist Machine Operators set up and operate machines
  • Handle and transport raw materials, parts, supplies, tools, fixtures, dies and trucks
  • Work in all departments to load and unload trucks, count, weight, transport, and pile materials in storage areas
  • Position and handle materials to load and unload conveyors, racks, containers, etc. for processing equipment
  • Deliver materials and parts to manufacturing departments as directed
  • Clean materials
  • Follow standardized methods of work
