About The Position

Our growing company is seeking to hire an Assembler. As an employee at MEC, you are responsible by assembling parts and subassemblies for OEM products. A role like this comes with some important responsibilities, some of those responsibilities include:Work from assembly drawings and specifications Assembles parts with the aid of verbal instructions, print(s) or sample parts. Uses various types of riveting devices, hand tools, air guns and power devices to assemble parts. Positions parts and subassemblies by using templates or reading measurements. Checks parts for quality and accuracy using basic inspection devices such as micrometers, verniers, scales, squares and gages. Assembles prototypes with Engineering help. Inspects parts for various types of cosmetic specifications. Where required, must achieve certification in riveting. Must be able to assemble at every station and process on the assembly line. MEC is a manufacturer that provides a broad range of Prototyping, Metal Fabrication, Tube Bending, Machining, Welding, Coating, and Value-Added Assembly services to a variety of markets including Commercial Vehicle, Power Sports & Recreational Vehicles, Agriculture, Construction & Forestry, Military, Mining, Automotive, and Power Generation companies. We continue to have an aggressive growth plan, operating 22 manufacturing facilities that are strategically located near its customers in eight states. At MEC, we work 4 10 hour days, Monday - Thursday. 1st shift hours are from 4:00am - 2:30pm.

Requirements

  • One-three months of related experience is preferred.
  • Must be able to read blueprints, work orders, and follow instructions.
  • Demonstrated detail orientation, self-motivation skills and ability to multi-task.
  • Good finger and hand dexterity.
  • Ability to understand and follow at MEC safety policies and procedures.
  • Ability to left up to 50 lbs at a time. This position involves alot of bending, twisting and lifting.

Responsibilities
