About The Position

Assembles electronic components, subassemblies, or systems by following work orders and production drawings, ensuring quality, precision, and compliance with safety standards.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • 1 to 3 months of experience or training OR
  • An equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Must pass appropriate testing to advance in the ABC program
  • Frequent sitting, walking, and standing
  • Occasional bending, stooping, pushing, pulling, and reaching
  • Constant lifting of 0–20 lbs; occasional up to 40 lbs; rare up to 50 lbs
  • High level of hand and finger dexterity
  • Constant use of hands and arms for technical work
  • PPE includes safety glasses, nitrile and heat-resistant gloves as needed
  • Knowledge of English language rules, spelling, and grammar for reading instructions
  • Understanding of machines and tools used in basic assembly
  • Familiarity with production processes and quality standards
  • Active listening and communication to follow detailed instructions
  • Attention to detail for consistent quality during repetitive tasks
  • Time management to stay on pace with production flow
  • Proficient in using hand tools and positioning small parts
  • Able to read and comprehend work orders and technical documents
  • Excellent hand-eye coordination and finger dexterity
  • Color vision and near-sight acuity for sorting accuracy
  • Ability to maintain focus during repetitive inspection tasks
  • Strong problem sensitivity and quick judgment
  • Due to the nature of our business, the candidate must be able to legally work in the United States; we are unable to provide sponsorship.
  • Position requires candidate to be a U.S. person as defined in ITAR, 22 CFR 120.15 (U.S. Citizenship or Resident Alien Status) and defined by 8 U.S.C. 1101(a) (20).

Responsibilities

  • Read work orders and follow production drawings or instructions
  • Assemble and secure parts using hand tools and fixtures
  • Perform intermediate tasks such as potting, sanding, or color coding
  • Inspect parts using basic testing methods
  • Handle and install finished assemblies into enclosures
  • Uphold Positronic’s standards of integrity, quality, and operational excellence.
  • Identify hazards in the workplace and report them to management and/or the safety coordinator.
  • Collaborate with the EHS department to meet local, state, and federal regulatory requirements, including OSHA, NFPA, DNR, EPA, and Amphenol sustainability practices.
  • Work with the Quality department to ensure compliance with AS9100 certification standards.
  • Comply with all company policies and procedures.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
