About The Position

Quanex is looking for Assembler-1st Shift to join our team in Richmond, Indiana. The primary function of the Assembler is to work cooperatively with team members to cut and assemble door thresholds to changing specifications. The schedule is 5:00 am - 3:30 pm Monday- Thursday.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Ability to stand throughout the full shift.
• Ability to use hand tools including tape measure air drill, pneumatics fixed straight-cut saw.
• Must have flexibility to work occasional overtime.

Responsibilities

• May install base, rail, nosing and other parts to sub assembled or fully assembled thresholds and astragals.
• Package and label product to required customer specifications.
• Make simple machine adjustments and changeovers
• Maintain equipment and work area in neat, orderly condition in accordance with standard work and 5S criteria.
• Will perform and document all quality checks as required
