About The Position

The Assembler position is located in New Hudson, MI at our Flushmate division and reports to the Plant Manager. Assemblers will produce products to meet company specifications for customer orders and/or production requirements.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Attention to detail.
  • Basic math skills.
  • Follows established procedures for completing work tasks.

Nice To Haves

  • <1 year Assembly experience
  • Ability to troubleshoot simple machine problems

Responsibilities

  • Produce quality products following company policies and procedures.
  • Bag and/or pack proper quantities for customer orders or stock as instructed.
  • Build a variety of sub-assemblies per production requirements.
  • Work on assembly lines where tasks vary as different models of same article moves along.
  • Test parts and assemblies using either air or water.
  • Bolt, screw, clip or otherwise fasten parts together.
  • Verify and record conformance of products to specifications for operations performed.
  • Requires performance of verification methods including but not limited to use of standard equipment such as torque guns, to perform force fitting or fastening operations on assembly line.
  • Set up various machines within the Assembly Department.
  • Retrieve materials to complete assigned tasks and/or remove unnecessary materials from work area as necessary.
  • Complete production reports as required.
  • Other duties and responsibilities as required.
