Demonstrates a proven working knowledge of various assembling/testing principles. Tasks assigned require basic knowledge of concepts and procedures. Demonstrates the ability to solve basic problems with assistance. Recognizes problems in assembling/testing process and reports to appropriate supervisor and/or lead person in a timely manner. Ability to use and select the proper pressure gauges, pressure chart recorders and tools for valve assembly and testing. Ability to understand assembly drawings, SPs, QPs, work instructions and tools and equipment needed to perform assembly operations with minimal assistance. Ability to perform internal stenciling and/or marking for required traceability purposes. Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write and/or complete routine reports. Ability to work in one or more specific areas of assignment with minimal assistance: Assembly, Testing, Valve Extension, Actuators, Painting, Pass to Stock. Operates overhead crane and other capacity lifting equipment (forklift) safely (training provided). Troubleshoot and resolve problems associated with the assembly and testing of products. Ensure ability to: read blueprints; identify components; use pertinent hand tools and rework techniques; operate equipment, dimensioning and setting tolerances of mechanical parts and assemblies.
