About The Position

Assembles machines, equipment, and their sub-assemblies following blueprints and other written and verbal specifications. Familiar with and capable of using various types of hand and power tools. Required to perform other miscellaneous tasks as supervision deems necessary.

Requirements

A qualified candidate will have a high school diploma, GED, or at least 1-3 months related experience.
Must have basic language and math skills and reasoning ability.
Should have knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and ERP software.
Must be able to stand and walk continuously and sit/reach/bend frequently over the course of a 10 hour shift.
Must be able to lift/push/pull up to 50 lbs.
Must have manual dexterity and be able to maintain a frequent firm grasp.
Must be able to operate a foot pedal for machine operation.
Must be able to pass a physical strength test to perform the job.
Color vision with depth perception is required.
Ability to work in varying temperatures and levels of humidity.
Personal protective equipment will be provided by FAST and must be worn in the required areas.

Responsibilities

Reads and interprets blueprints and assembly drawings to determine specific assembly requirements.
Removes small quantities of metal to clean parts or to produce close fit between parts.
Plans assembly procedures, following specifications.
Drills, taps, or reams holes.
Aligns components and bolts, screws, or rivets them together.
Installs moving parts, such as shafts, levers, or bearings, and works them to test free movement.
Aligns and meshes gears in gearbox to assemble system of gears.
Tests or assists in testing operation of completed product.
Prepares parts for shipping into containers, bands items to pallets and performs other packaging as required.
Completes all weekly, daily and monthly 5S tasks
