They will support product development, sustaining current products and customer special orders with written and oral directions, frequent guidance and supervision. The incumbent must support and advocate all Trane and Trane Technologies values and principles. The incumbent will also be responsible for maintaining a neat and organized work area as well as follow all safety guidelines. This role has been designated by the Company as Safety Sensitive. Requirements

  • Assembly of light commercial air conditioners, using fine motor dexterity and eye hand coordination. The assembly is subject but not limited to: Gripping and pinching with hands and fingers repetitively Using power, pneumatic and hand tools Loading and unloading conveyors and carts Brazing and soldering Operating machines and presses Operating forklifts, manipulators, and hoists Performing quality checks and tests
  • Demonstrates basic hands on mechanical or electrical components and their principles, properties and theories.
  • Must work effectively under a variance of temperature and noise levels.
  • Must be able to work any shift (1st, 2nd, or 3rd shift).
  • Use senses (see, hear, smell, touch) to detect quality defects and unsafe conditions
  • High School Diploma, GED is preferred.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with Trane-Trane Technologies products is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Advocate the core principles of Trane and Trane Technologies, focusing primarily on: Respect Integrity Teamwork Innovation Courage
  • Solve practical problems and drive continuous improvements throughout the facility. These improvements are subject but not limited to: Standard operating procedures (Standard Work) Rapid improvement experiments (RIE’s) Opportunity circles 9-step problem solving
  • Ability to read, acknowledge and follow all safety operating procedures.
  • Ability to read, acknowledge and follow all quality standards.
  • Ability to work well in a fast-paced team environment and adhere to ‘and-on’ protocol for assigned workstation.
  • Ability to read, understand and follow current standard work instructions, method sheets assembly diagrams and follow written and oral directions
  • Stand continuously for up to three hours at a time.
  • Exhibit an exemplary attendance record.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills in order to speak and listen effectively before groups of customers or employees in the organization.
  • Other duties as assigned
