Requirements

High school diploma or GED and completion of a craft apprenticeship (or equivalent years of education and 2 years of work experience)
Experience in a manufacturing or industrial setting
Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions
Ability to read and interpret documents including safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
Hold a Forklift Certification, or obtain a certification within a two time allowance of testing all within the first month of starting position

Training and/or supervisory experience

Responsibilities

Fully competent to perform all positions on a minimum of two or more production lines in the facility
Position will also be able to complete a wide variety duty such as: Spot welding, fork lift operation, material location, painting, foam, brazing, Machine Operator 1, operating an assortment of hand tools including but not limited to screwdrivers, drills, pliers, banders, etc.
Position will assist in the training and orienting of new employees
Must be willing to accept and receive frequent supervision and assistance with regard to responsibilities
Detects and reports defective materials or questionable conditions to the department supervisor
Maintains the work area and equipment in a clean orderly condition and follows prescribed safety regulations
Be flexible with overtime and shift changes including Saturday hours as needed
Other duties as required
