About The Position

GENERAL JOB DESCRIPTION Under the direction of the Team Leader or the Master Assembler, ensures that parts, products, and vehicles are built to meet Club Car’s high standards of quality, safety, and efficiency. This position utilizes advanced assembly skills and knowledge to perform complex rebuilds, provide on-the-job training to other assemblers, and support the overall success of the Certified Pre-Owned operation.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma/Equivalent required.
  • Ability to follow verbal and written instructions.
  • Must be able to read and write in English.
  • Previous assembly and/or manufacturing experience.
  • Mechanical and technical skills.
  • Safety management mindset.
  • Focus on quality control.
  • Dexterity and hand-eye coordination, including the ability to grasp, manipulate, and assemble parts and components that are often very small.
  • Requires occasional lifting of objects of 25 to 50 pounds.
  • Work requires periodic stooping/bending and frequent walking/standing.
  • Work involves activities that require special safety precautions, e.g., working around moving parts, machines, or vehicles.

Responsibilities

  • Follows process method sheets to ensure assembly is performed in accordance with specified quality techniques or follows sales order requests for directions on options to be installed on golf cars or utility vehicles.
  • Performs various installations or assemblies of electrical and general hardware as instructed by the lead person and/or a designated associate. Conducts a final inspection to ensure proper installation or assembly of parts.
  • Completes daily performance sheet and installs or assembles parts at desired efficiencies or notifies the lead person of any barriers preventing installation or assembly at standard level.
  • Stages parts from supermarkets into bins and carts per a pull report or other instructions and delivers carts to the point of use.
  • Assists in training other assemblers as needed.
  • Reports all non-conforming part conditions and equipment or tool malfunctions to the lead person/supervisor.
  • Maintains a safe and productive work environment by ensuring the work area is clear of tools, brooms, debris, and other items that may present a hazard.
  • Will be required to perform other duties as requested, directed, or assigned.
  • Must be able to work overtime as necessary.
