About The Position

Collins Aerospace is looking to fill several Assembler Positions for the Riverside, CA facility. You will be required to perform a variety of tasks which include but are not limited to fabrication, processing, lay-up, assembling, mating, and bonding of complex honeycomb, adhesive bonded, thermoplastics, and/or composite sub-assemblies/assemblies & surface treatment and cleaning of metal by various chemical processes. What You Will Do: You will be working onsite at our Riverside, CA facility. You will be working 2nd shift hours (3pm-11:30pm M-F) You will be part of the IAM Local 964 union. Assemble, fabricate, and install honeycomb, adhesive bonded, and composite assemblies following blueprints and engineering orders. Layup composite materials, apply parting agents, perform bagging and vacuum blanketing, and prepare components for cleaning, masking, and coating. Operate drying ovens, mix sealants and adhesives, to create aircraft components. Manage material storages and replenish empty spaces. Utilize specialized machine attachments, overhead cranes, and computer-based data systems. Ensure accurate documentation, possibly participate in voluntary Kaizen events, and maintain good shop practices. Perform all work in accordance with quality standards and established safety procedures. Maintain a clean and safe work area.

Requirements

  • Typically, a HS Diploma or GED is required.
