This position supports the unit in achieving set production targets by adhering to systems and processes. The role involves using machinery and equipment on the shop floor and reading and interpreting technical diagrams/instructions for the assembly of products/systems/panels. The assembler conducts all types of assembly work to produce semi-finished or final products/systems/panels, including packing where integrated with production lines. This work is performed manually or by using light hand tools, and includes regular quality testing as part of a defined production process. The assembler operates within standard operating procedures and maintains a clean work area. Additionally, the role requires demonstrating ABB’s core values, group safety and integrity standards, and acting accordingly. It involves implementing and ensuring compliance with the ABB code of conduct, global and local standards, tools, policies, and processes in the assigned area, as well as adherence to all relevant internal and statutory regulations and policies. The individual must ensure integrity and compliance with ABB values and ethics in all activities and demonstrate an understanding of Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) terms, concept application, reporting, and risks. Collaboration objectives of the team must be adhered to to maximize results for ABB, and the individual is expected to lead their own development journey by seeking knowledge and learning opportunities within the team, and manage relationships with stakeholders in their own area of responsibility to ensure alignment.
